Monday, April 12th, 2010 -- Finished converting all gadzillion generators to the new layout and categorization.

Wednesday, March 17th, 2010 -- Began changing the layout for the generators to match the new site.

Sunday, October 25th, 2009 -- Migrated this site from its umpteenth temporary home to Unorthodox Creativity, its indefinite home.

Tuesday, March 3rd, 2009 -- Added four generators, all Ykinde-related: Avan Names, Ykindean Human Names, Panthera Names, Lupos Names. I wanted to note the following as a wishlist/tasklist: requested furry character (standards + hybrids), requested Sonic character (furries + abilities + odd colors), Ykindean character (Panthera, human, Lupos, Avan, and alker, plus appropriate classes), and brown Korat character generators. Also need to update everything under "Outdated."

About The Generators

As a web designer and amateur game designer, I have a tendency to pick up website- or code-related hobbies. Making generators is one such hobby I adopted years ago, back before I knew much of anything. Inspired by Steven Savage's work on Seventh Sanctum, I modified his open-source code to create random generators with javascript. The basic premise is this: you click a button, and random text is generated in the box. It could be a story plot, a name, the description of a character, the basic appearance of a creature or plant, or so on. I have over sixty generators; some are old and others are simplistic, but all in all, they're fun. And even useful, from time to time.
