Things I Learned This Week

Oh man, after last week’s Mega Edition, this week has some awfully slim pickin’s.
I learned that writers can parallel visionaries and mystics in many ways.
I found a really cool random collection of science and nature photographs.
I learned why new experiences are important and positively affect your perception of time. This is awesome.
I watched SJ Tucker’s first music video, Playing D&D, then got earwormed by Roll A D6 on top of that. Man! The musical geekery abounds. :D

And your yard reminds me that people shouldn’t get so nitpicky about mowing their lawns all the time. Let it grow!
Last spring, a well-intentioned neighbor mowed down our lawn without asking. As a result, foxtails (wickedly barbed weeds) and dry grasses sprang up, overwhelming our poof-flowers and dandelions and greenery. I was so sad. Keeping our yard junglicious is as much a defense against brambles that invade the dog’s pawpads as it is a lovely patch of green in the desert. :)
