Hmm, my original songs. They’re all pretty common folky and camp songs. I would try Youtube. I just googled “The Flicker of the Campfire” and found videos of people singing it at camp! Let me know if you can’t find one of them.

And you can see me singing and playing now by searching “Paul and Do Mi” on Youtube!

Thank you very much – both for your words and your post. And all that’s in your post. It made me feel hopeful and warm; I miss the community-feeling of musicians in a group. I’ve had it so rarely, and it’s so special.

I’ve wanted to write songs since I was itty. (I did try several times as a teenager, with no accompaniment.) I still find it completely amazing that I’m starting to be able to, finally, actually touch that dream. I am so impatient! But I’m learning patience as well as chords. :)

Do you have your original song(s) somewhere I could hear them? I am madly curious!

Ty, what a lovely post! I’m so glad you have a solid supporter to inspire and encourage you. I’m thinking more and more that social support can be really important to music.

You’re writing songs!!!! That is awesome! I wrote my first one last year–that’s how long it has taken me to go beyond singing other people’s songs.
